Everyday notarizations, done right the first time
Not every document is a real estate closing or an international apostille. Most notarizations are small, quick, and completely essential. That is exactly where we shine.

Overview
About this service
General notary work covers the everyday notarial acts most people need, acknowledgments on affidavits, jurats on sworn statements, oaths, copy certifications, and vehicle title transfers. They are quick, but they still have to be done exactly right.
A wrong notarial certificate, a missing thumbprint requirement, or an out-of-date commission stamp can invalidate the whole document. We move fast, but we move correctly.

Pricing
Virginia caps the notarial fee at $10 per traditional act, and we charge $10 per act, including the first. Mobile appointments add a separate travel charge based on one-way driving distance from Suffolk; that travel amount is set by us, not by Virginia, and is disclosed before you book.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions
What is the difference between an acknowledgment and a jurat?+
An acknowledgment confirms you signed the document willingly; a jurat confirms you swore under oath that its contents are true. Most documents specify which certificate to use.
Can you certify a copy of my passport or birth certificate?+
Virginia notaries can certify copies of many documents, but not vital records like birth certificates. We can walk you through the right way to get a certified copy from the issuing agency.
Do you notarize vehicle titles?+
Yes, a very common request. Bring the title, a valid ID, and any co-signers.
Can I sign the document before you arrive?+
No. For most notarial acts you must sign in the notary's presence, which is why we ask you to wait.
How fast can you meet me?+
Same-day appointments are the norm. Call (757) 204-5598 for time-sensitive requests.
